You absolutely have to go and see this incredible one woman show in Dublin

Rebecca O'Keeffe

one woman show

Just brilliant.

Are you looking for something to do this December? We have you covered ladies.

Reality:Check Productions are returning to Smock Alley’s Boys School for the Irish premiere of an incredible story, Iphigenia in Splott by Gary Owen.

Iphigenia in Splott premiered at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff, 2015 in a production by Ireland’s own Rachel O’Riordan before transferring to the National Theatre, London, UK in 2016 to wide critical acclaim.

Not to give much away, but we have a brief little synopsis of the play’s plot…

Stumbling down the street at 11:30am drunk, Effie is the kind of girl you’d avoid eye contact with, silently passing judgement.

We think we know her, but we don’t know the half of it.

Effie’s life spirals through a mess of drink, drugs and drama every night, and a hangover worse than death the next day — until one night gives her the chance to be something more.

Inspired by the enduring Greek myth, Iphigenia in Splott drives home the high price people pay for society’s shortcomings.

Effie will break your heart.

Trust us when we say, this is not to be missed!

Iphigenia in Splott will be on in Smock Alley from December 3rd (hey, that’s tonight!) until December 15th!

Get your tickets here now, you won’t regret it.
