Zoe Sugg’s perfect response to breastfeeding shame

Kat O'Connor

Zoe Sugg was called out for breastfeeding in public but quickly shut down the trolls

Newsflash, breastfeeding in public is perfectly normal, and anyone who says differently is not worth your time. Zoe Sugg was recently shamed for breastfeeding in a cafe, but was she wrong? Certainly not.

The mum-of-two shared a beautiful photo of her breastfeeding her youngest daughter on Instagram this weekend, but some of her followers had an issue with it.

One troll called the influencer out because she was feeding her baby, God forbid.

They wrote, “Breastfeeding in public places… ew. What’s the problem with bringing a bottle with you and not showing your boobs in public?”

Zoe perfectly responded to this charming follower and said there is absolutely nothing wrong with breastfeeding your baby in public.

It’s not illegal, it’s perfectly normal, and it’s nothing women should be ashamed of.

The former YouTube star wrote, “Your Monday reminder never to let anyone try and shame you for how you feed your baby (however that may be). I couldn’t even be bothered to reply to this, just a simple block and delete because it’s that stupid. I’m just so surprised that people still say this shit to other women.

The mum confirmed the user who wrote the comment was also a woman, which makes it even more disheartening.

Zoe was simply feeding her child. She wasn’t hurting anyone or causing any disruptions. It’s 2024 and women should be allowed to breastfeed in public without other women tearing them down.

“I know so many people who feel nervous to breastfeed in public because of people saying things like this,” the influencer added.

Snide comments and judgment aren’t going to get us anywhere so can we please leave these tainted views on breastfeeding in the past?
