We all know that Simon Cowell hadn’t been particularly planning for fatherhood but we were still surprised by the extent of his fear when he revealed all in an interview this week.
Speaking to his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour on Extra (not weird at all!), the X Factor mogul said that he had been worried that he would feel more strongly for his dogs, Squiddly and Diddly, than he would for his new son.
“I actually said to Lauren beforehand, ‘What if I like the dogs more than him?’ and she said, ‘You’re gonna be absolutely fine,’ and then literally within seconds of him being born, I got it,” said Simon.
Luckily, Cowell has taken to fatherhood like a duck to water and revealed that he is now planning to extend his family with Lauren Silverman, who was formerly married to his friend Andrew Silverman.
“I wouldn’t rule out [more children]! Well, I got Squiddly and Diddly, and I couldn’t imagine Squiddly or just Diddly… I had a brother when I was younger, so I kind of think it’s cool to have two or three… two.”
