It was claimed yesterday that Beyoncé and Jay-Z could announce the end of their marriage following their On The Run tour and now reports are surfacing that the singer has been seen viewing a €21.5m penthouse apartment in New York.
According to The New York Post, the singer went to see the apartment in Chelsea last month, with insiders telling the paper that Jay Z’s alleged absence is telling as “he has always played a strong role in their real estate searches”.
The West 19th Street apartment is less than half the size of their current 8,309-square-foot apartment in Tribeca and a source said that Beyoncé could be considering the property as a base for herself and two-year-old Blue Ivy as she was “very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly”.
“I can say with certainty that Jay is not downsizing. There’s no way a $20 million apartment is for her mother or her sister. That would be wildly unlikely,” they added.
