Taylor Swift is reportedly in talks to make a TV show inspired by her songs

Please let this be true.

If you’re a Swiftie, you’ll know that much of Taylor Swift’s music has been inspired by her own lived experience in relationships and with heartbreak.

There have been whispers that Swift, 33, has had a meeting with Alice Birch, the writer of HBO hit Succession.

Swift’s previous relationships with famous exes has always been a point of public interest, so, the idea of turning her love life into a screenplay for a TV show is absolutely genius.

Musicians John Mayer, Harry Styles, and possibly even Matt Healy, and actors Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Alwyn, may yet see their romantic past with the Bad Blood singer played out before their eyes.

Say what you will about her, but if we could all earn millions off our heartbreaks, we’d do the exact same.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Taylor is a multi-talented individual and while her love life has given her ten No1 albums, it is also in the early stages of spawning a new TV show.

“She has been introduced to Alice and they have started discussing a possible new screenplay.”

Alice Birch is renowned for creating Succession character Shiv Roy, something which caught the attention of Swift.

“Seeing how she moulded this character, who existed in a male-dominated environment, caught Taylor’s eye. They have just been throwing around ideas,” the source revealed.

Birch believes that Swift’s relationships, which have resulted in some of her biggest hits, will do well as a TV show.

“This translates easily on to the screen and there are so many threads they can take from it.

“It is really exciting and something Taylor is looking to branch out into,” they added.

At least Ticketmaster can’t decide who gets to see a Taylor Swift TV show (I promise, I’m not bitter about it…).
