Saoirse Ronan has revealed her dream role

She's one of the best actresses to come out of Ireland in some time, but her career is only starting to take off.

There's no doubt she's only going to become more and more popular as her career continues, especially with her eyes set on such huge roles.

Ronan recently opened up about her future in the industry and admitted she has one huge role on her list.

She told the LA Times that her dream role would be a Bond villain.

It's certainly hugely different from her previous roles but there's no doubt the Irish actress would be a perfect fit.

Speaking about the career goal, Ronan said: "I would like to do something big and shiny. I’d love to do that."

She said actors shouldn't be put in one category because they're ever-changing.

"That’s why I don’t think you can put someone in one category and even with me choosing very well-respected, drama-fuelled, thought-provoking pieces for the most part – I love doing that.

"But I’m also like, 'I’ve done a lot of that. I think I want to do a big movie now.' And hopefully I’ll get to do that," she said.

Ronan said she feels incredibly lucky with where her career is going.

"I’m feeling very lucky with what I have and who I have and what I get to do," she said.

The Brooklyn star could likely see another Oscar nomination in the future following the release of her film The Outrun.
