The singer and X-Factor judge announced the news just 12 weeks after the pair started dating, updating her Twitter and Instagram accounts with a picture of her rings confirming the news.
Now Nicola Roberts has hit back at critics, posting a message of support on her Instagram page.
The picture was uploaded with a fitting caption alluding to her best friend:

It’s now believed Nicola and close friends will throw a celebration party for the newly married couple to celebrate the marriage.
