Love Island’s Jessica Hayes taken to hospital after infection from fake nails

Imagine the pain.

Love Island star Jessica Hayes was rushed to hospital on Sunday after she suffered an infection from her fake nails. Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, the 27 year old revealed to her followers directly from her hospital bed that she suffered from a lot of pain and swelling in her finger after she visited a local nail salon. She said: “I went to the nail salon, one of the walk in ones and I had my nails done and a day after the side of the cuticle started swelling and getting sore and really painful, and that’s how I knew there was an infection. “Then it started travelling up my arm pretty quickly. I wasn’t able to bend my arm, I had chills one night and I started to feel sick and not very well in myself. “So the doctors on this morning and I’ve got two options, I could either have my nail completely off. Get it bandaged up, obviously it’s going to take months to grow back, but it is what it is. It will get to the root of the infection. “Or I can stay on the antibiotics for one more night and day. So stay in tonight and then hopefully if I see an improvement I won’t need the nail off.” We can't imagine the pain of this happening!
