GIRLS’ actress Alison Williams is swapping Marnie’s fitted power dresses for a role as the immortal boy Peter Pan in NBC musical Peter Pan Live.
The actress will star opposite Christopher Walken, with the GIRLS star saying the role is a “dream come true.”
Speaking at the announcement of the casting, Robert Greenblatt, Chairman, NBC Entertainment said:
“We couldn’t be happier that Allison Williams is our Peter Pan.
“She’s a lovely rising star on the award-winning show ‘Girls’ — where she occasionally shows off her incredible vocal talent — and we think she will bring the perfect blend of ‘boyish’ vulnerability and bravado to save the day against Christopher Walken’s powerful Captain Hook.”
The team also hope the 26-year old will bring her “wit, warmth and wonderful musical abilities” to the musical production.
