BBC presenter Claudia Winkleman is reportedly set to take on co-hosting duties for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
It is thought that Claudia will replace Sir Bruce Forsyth after he quit the BBC One ballroom show on Friday.
The 42-year-old presenter is thought to be the first choice for the role, alongside current presenter Tess Daly, after she recently stood in for Forsyth during his absence from the Sunday night’s results show.
A BBC insider told The Sun newspaper: ‘They are certainly the first choices. Detailed discussions will start shortly and it is hoped everything can be sorted out.’
Claudia is thought to be the first choice for the job
It is thought that Claudia will interview the contestants after they dance while Tess will take on Bruce’s duties.
This means introducing the celebrities and their professional partners ahead of their dance routines as well as chatting to the judging panel.
