Cork brothers Gary and Paul O’Donovan have just cemented themselves in every Irish persons heart.
The endearing pair just won Ireland’s first medal in Rio and Twitter is going wild.
And while the boys are gaining much attention for their athletic prowess, they’re also receiving notoriety for their pure Cork attitudes.
In interviews this week they expressed their love of the food in Rio, particularly the steak and spuds. With their thick accents, steak quickly became shteak and it’s now just one of the words trending on Twitter in the aftermath of their victory.
Shteak, spuds and silver ☘ congrats to the O'Donovan bros #PullLikeADog #shteak #spuds #Skibbereen
