Some of us are really loyal when it comes to supermarket shopping and others shop around for the best bargain.
If you’ve ever wondered which supermarket actually comes out on top, this research might be of interest.
Spotted on JOE.ie, a 12-week study conducted by Kantar WorldPanel found that SuperValu is Ireland’s most popular supermarket.
Kantar WorldPanel, a global company specialising in consumer behaviour, found that SuperValu is top of the grocers with 25 percent of the market.
Next is Tesco with 24.5 percent and Dunnes Stores follows closely with 24.1 percent.
In fourth place is Lidl with 8 percent of the market and Aldi is right behind with 7.9 percent.
The remaining 10.5 percent is commandeered by ‘other outlets’ but no names were given.
The survey also found that Dunnes Stores improved the most when it comes to sales as figures were up 5.1 percent on 2015.
