Although many feel helpless when it comes to supporting those undergoing cancer treatment, little things go a long way.
Cleaning For A Reason is an organisation offering free cleaning services to all women undergoing treatment for any type of cancer.
It’s the brainchild of Debbie Sardone, who was inspired when a client of hers called to say she could no longer afford her services due to expensive cancer treatments, according to The Metro.
The incident sparked an idea in Debbie, and she decided no woman undergoing treatment should have to worry about cleaning, and vowed to offer her services free of charge.
Thus, the non-profit organisation was formed and since 2006, has recruited more than 1,200 maid services to donate free house cleaning to women in treatment.
It is not clear whether the organisation offers the same treatment for men.
