The streets of Limerick welcomed something very different this week, with a 25ft granny roaming the city.
The Royal de Luxe street theatre company brought the amazing display to the city for the weekend in one of the highlights of the Limerick’s City Of Culture programme and the visit is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors over three days.
The giant granny arrived by train on Friday morning to begin her 19km journey and is taking in Sarsfield Barracks, the Lee Estate and Shelbourne Park before departing by boat from Limerick Docks on Sunday.
I Love Limerick captured some of the action as the 85-year-old arrived yesterday.
