The discovery was made on Tuesday.
Gardaí have launched an investigation today after a woman’s body was found at a hotel in Limerick city.
The discovery was made in the early hours of Tuesday, May 2nd, and emergency medical personnel attended the scene on the Ennis Road, shortly after 3am.
The woman is said to be in her mid-50s and the body remains at the scene for a technical examination.
A post-mortem is set to be conducted and the results of this will determine the Garda investigation.
A Garda spokesperson told The Irish Mirror: “Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances in relation to the death of a woman (mid 40s) at a hotel in Limerick in the early hours of this morning Tuesday 2nd May, 2023.
“Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene after 3am and investigations are ongoing.
“The body remains at the scene, and a post mortem will take place in due course which will determine the course of the investigation”.
