The end of an era.
One of Dublin’s most popular nightclub venues has closed down, with immediate effect.
Hangar was located in St Andrew’s Lane, and was a unique venue with regards to the Dublin scene.
It catered to a different genre than your average Dublin nightclub, and would play an electronic/dance type of music on your typical night there, rather than the pop music you would find in most clubs.
In a statement posted to their official Facebook page, Hangar said:
“It is with deep regret that we must inform you that Hangar is now closed with immediate effect. It has been well known that Hangar will eventually close its doors and sadly the time has come.
“Since work began on Hangar in September 2014, a dilapidated Warehouse venue off Dame Street has since transformed into a thriving hub for electronic music.”
