Roy Keane is set to appear in court over a road-rage row with a taxi driver last January.
Police in the UK confirmed this afternoon that the Republic Of Ireland assistant manager has received a summons to appear at Trafford Magistrates Court later this month in connection with an altercation with 44-year-old Fateh Kerar.
“A summons was posted for Roy Keane to his home address in Hale to appear before Trafford Magistrates court on 31 March for a Section 4A Public Order offence,” said a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police.
“This is in relation to an incident on Friday 30 January 2015 when police were called to Ashley Road, Altrincham to a report that a man had behaved aggressively towards another man.”
It’s understood that the taxi driver reported Keane for aggressive behaviour in a row that broke out after he and his passenger noticed the footballer parked at traffic lights near his former home in Cheshire.
