Police were called to a house on Wednesday to address an incident where a young girl “kicked off” when she wasn’t allowed to watch Love Island.
Market Bosworth Police attended the dispute in Leicestershire after receiving a 999 call.
Writing on Facebook, they said that their patrol and resolution team assessed the risk as a ‘grade one’, meaning that they drove to the scene with blue lights and sirens.
The girl in question, 11-years-old, had not been permitted to watch the ITV2 show.
The police wrote:
“Colleagues from ‘PRT’ (Patrol and Resolution Team) have just popped in to the office after dealing with an ‘incident’ in Barlestone where an 11-year-old girl ‘kicked off’ because she wasn’t allowed to watch #loveisland.
“Due to the information passed by the caller, this was risk assessed and graded as a ‘grade one’ – which means they attended as an emergency on blues and twos.
“True story.”
