A woman who was allegedly kidnapped a decade ago has been found alive in California after contacting the police.
According to reports this morning the woman, who is now 25, was abducted in Santa Ana in Los Angeles back in 2004.
Her alleged captor, 41-year-old Isidrio Garcia who was in a relationship with the woman’s mother and living at the family home at the time she went missing, has been arrested.
The young woman said that Mr Garcia had begun abusing her when he lived with her mother and sisters. She said that he drugged her and took her to a house in Compton after he assaulted her mother.
At the time, her mother apparently reported that her daughter and boyfriend had gone missing following a domestic incident. She also suspected that he had been abusing her daughter.
Over the course of 10 years, the victim claims Mr Garcia physically and sexually abused her. She also said that he told her that her family had given up on finding her and that they would be deported if she tried to go back to them.
Mr Garcia apparently got them both jobs and forced her into marriage in 2007. They had a child in 2012, claims the woman.
