Heartache following the death of Mama June’s daughter Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell

The daughter of Mama June has sadly passed away aged 29

The 29-year-old was diagnosed with stage four adrenal carcinoma in January.

Her mother said she fought bravely for 10 months, but she sadly died at home this weekend.

She confirmed the harrowing news on Instagram last night alongside a photo of their family.

"With the breaking heart, we are announcing that Anna is no longer with us."

Anna's mother, Shannon aka Mama June, confirmed her daughter died at 11.12 pm.

"She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM. She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t [sic] and we will will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today."

Mama June asked her fans to respect their privacy during this harrowing time.

Anna was diagnosed with cancer in January after suffering from stomach pains

Anna was sadly diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in January but was undergoing treatment.

The reality star's mum confirmed the heartbreaking news that she was terminal in July.

Mama June praised Anna for dealing with her diagnosis in such an incredibly brave way.

She told Entertainment Weekly that she was doing as well as one could in that situation.

“We don’t know what to expect because the cancer is very aggressive, and it grew from nothing to something huge on the left side of her body really fast.”

“She’s stage 4. She’s not going to go into remission. We’ve all accepted that, so I just tell people one day at a time because you never know.”

The reality star was a proud mother to two daughters- Kaitlyn and Kylee.
