Hundreds of customers in IKEA’s flagship Ballymun store were forced to evacuate last night because of a “technical fault.”
Shoppers were advised to drop whatever they were planning to purchase and make for the exits in order to evacuate for what would later turn out to be a false alarm.
While the event caused some consternation on social media, there was never actually any dangers. Customers who stuck around were treated to “thank you chocolates” by staff after they re-entered the store, according to the Irish Examiner.
