This explains why she fainted.

News broke yesterday that Hillary Clinton had to leave a 9/11 tribute ceremony in New York after she became faint.

Her doctor, Lisa Bardack, has now confirmed that she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and after taking antibiotics she still became dehydrated at the ceremony and felt unwell.

According to The BBC, she has given an update which states that Hillary is re-hydrated and is “recovering nicely”.

She was due to embark on a two-day trip to California today but that looks like it’s been put on hold.

Dr Bardack has released the following statement:

“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during follow-up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

“She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule.”

Last month, Hillary’s rival, Donald Trump, made remarks about her ability to serve as the President saying she, “lacks the mental and physical stamina.”

Dr Bardack responded at that point to say Hillary, is “in excellent health and fit to serve as president of the United States”, while the Clinton campaign has said her opponents have “deranged conspiracy about Clinton’s health”.
