At least 29 people wounded in New York in ‘intentional explosion’

The incident happened late Saturday night.

At least 29 people have been injured in a crowded area of New York according to the BBC.

It occurred in the Chelsea area of Manhattan.

The first explosion took place at around 8.30pm and was reported to have been from a device placed in a dumpster.

According to the Independent was a second device found attached to a mobile phone four blocks away, but it was removed by officials.

Mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio ruled out any terror connections, but called the blast an “intentional act.”

One Twitter user who goes by WestCes and is said to work in the area posted a video of CCTV footage of the explosion.
