According to research conducted by anti-bullying charity Ditch the Label, Instagram is the worst social media network for the cyberbullying of young people.
The study, involving over 10,000 young people in Britain between ages 12 and 20, showed that 42 percent of those who were bullied online experienced it on Instagram.
41 percent of these also said that they went on to suffer social anxiety.
Chief executive of Ditch the Label, Liam Hackett said that online bullying is still one of the biggest issues for young people in the UK.
"Not only is the Internet redefining the climate of bullying, but also it is having clear impacts upon the identity, behaviours and personality of its young users."Of the victims surveyed, 37 percent said that they had experienced bullying on Facebook, with 31 percent being bullied through Snapchat. One in three participants also admitted that they worried about being bullied online.
