It could happen to the best of us. Probably. But not really.
A 34-year-old Kansas woman has been arrested and charged with arson after she set her home on fire while trying to kill a spider.
According to The Hutchinson News, Ginny M. Griffith set towels on fire throughout her house in an attempt to rid her home of the arachnid. Unsurprisingly, the blaze grew out of control and no less than five fire trucks were called to the scene.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the blaze, and the fire was extinguished in minutes. The only damage to the property was light smoke damage.
Griffith now faces arson charges and is being held on a $7,500 bond.
