This is NOT okay.

Police in Brea, Southern California have released photos of a hidden camera found in a bathroom of a Starbucks restaurant.

The camera, reported to be the size of a large pen, was found by a woman who removed it and contacted police to inform them of her discovery.

Initially, members of the police force in Brea were not sure of the nature of the device so it was sent to the Orange County Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory.

It was then established that the device was a camera and an early investigation shows that a number of people were recorded going to the bathroom.

Brea Police Department released a statement of a suspect on Monday and today a man was arrested in connection with the incident.

Starbucks have since released a statement: “We take our obligation to provide a safe environment for our customers and partners (employees) very seriously.

“As a part of regular store operations, we monitor the seating areas and restrooms in our stores on a regular basis to identify potential safety or security concerns”.

The investigation is ongoing.
