These are a few of our favourite things… for this week at least.

No St Nick
We look forward to the Christmas ads ever year and in-between a bulb fest at the likes of Sainsbury’s and John Lewis, it’s good to find one that makes you laugh. This year the honour falls to Nicholas StWenceslas and his Christmas LTD campaign. While we were dubious accepting a gift of “Christmas dinner in a jar”, believe it or not the Chicken calendar is already on the wall.
She’s a Knockout
Sport mads Mary had a great week this week following the trials and tribulations of Irish boxer Katie Taylor. Following two great wins on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Katie was given a walkover in the quarter final on Friday. Now, the countdown is on to the semi-final on Sunday!
My Go in an Aygo
Michelle is driving what looks like a mini Transformer this week and quite literally could not be happier about it. The Toyota Aygo is the centre of the current #GoFunYourself campaign, so she has big plans for this baby over the weekend, including a winter trip to the beach and a jaunt home so she can show it off to her parents. It’s pretty much the cheeriest car she has even seen and we’re already foreseeing heartbreak when she has to part with it next week…
Stuck on Glue
Cathy loves a good drama and Glue, which was shown on E4 in September is definitely worth a watch. She’s completely late to the party but that’s exactly why 4oD is a great invention. A modern murder mystery, there are eight episodes and she was gripped, so much so that she watched the entire series in two sittings. It comes highly recommended.
Aldi Nice Things
We got one of our first Christmas presents this week (and our first card!) from the lovely people at Aldi. We’re now all planning a little pampering this weekend.
Cheers!
Those guys at Supervalu. We love those guys.

A Bay Window
This week Grace caught up with the incredible James Bay ahead of his headlining gig at The Academy, Dublin. Bay performed two acoustic tracks for The Sunday Sessions before sitting down for a chat. The 23-year-old’s sound has been often likened to Scottish crooner, Paolo Nutini, and American singer-songwriter, Ray LaMontagne but after watching him perform live, we’re told that Bay is in a league of his own! Bay’s third EP ‘Hold Back The River’ goes on sale tomorrow, stay tuned for his gorgeous acoustic sessions coming soon.

Bringing Christmas to Light
As someone who loves all things Christmas, Rebecca has never looked happier than when Liz gave her a tiny Christmas Cookie candle from Yankee Candle this week. In fact, she is planning to pay her back with Christmas cookies and other delights… well we hope she is anyway so that the rest of us can nab some!
A Caffeine Kick
Despite several attempt to convert to the much healthier option of peppermint tea, Marie always returns to her first love of a good cup of coffee so she was delighted to head along to Caffé Nero last week for a masterclass from the experts. As well as trying some new drinks, she also learned plenty of interesting lessons, including the fact that the cappucino is named after the Capuchin monks!
Not That Kind of Girl
This week, Liz is excited to take a break from the world and curl up with a book. She’s been a long-time fan of GIRLS and now she has the chance to delve into the world of all things Lena Dunham. She’s got a hot date with her duvet, a cup of tea and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange. All while musing over the thoughts of someone who she’s still trying to work out is either hilarious, or very, very odd.
Perfect way to start out her holidays…
