These are a few of our favourite things… this week at least.

Smilie Pies!
Sadly the Her Party night has been and gone but at least we have the memories! A huge thanks for making the night a fantastic success. We were only too delighted to get offline and celebrate… We all need to let our hair down now and again. Just LOOK at how happy we are. This picture is Grace‘s favourite thing this week.
“Oh let the Jameson sink in I drink to that…”
It’s not often you’ll find Michelle quoting Rihanna, but this week she paid a visit to the Jameson Distillery for a night of cocktails, food and great entertainment – The Barrelman’s Feast. A new night of entertainment at the venue, the Barrelman’s Feast is set to be a big attraction for the summer months. The host for the evening is a Jameson Barrelman, who tells the story of the iconic Irish whiskey while you enjoy a very tasty four course menu. After dinner, four piece ensemble Sine Metu take to the stage to play a mix of modern Irish music. Though over 90 per cent of the visitors to the Jameson Distillery come from overseas, you definitely do not have to be a tourist to enjoy this exciting and fun evening. Bring some friends along this summer. Or call us, we’ll go again. The event will run weekly over the summer and comes in at €60 for your food and entertainment, along with a tasty drink. The Barrelman’s Feast will run every Thursday and Saturday from May to October at the Old Jameson Distillery in Smithfield’s Bow Street, from 7.30pm to 11.00pm.
She’s in Fashion
Cathy went along to a fashion breakfast at the newly refurbished Clerys store in Dublin this week. From the yummy treats to the gorgeous style on display, this was one event not to be missed. We can’t wait to have a proper browse in Clery’s soon.
Favourite Things
This week was a good one for Marie as not only did one of her favourite bands, The Riptide Movement, release their new album but she also got to meet them for chat. If you don’t know them already, get your hands on Getting Through – we promise you won’t regret it! Check out the interview here.
FroYo
Our pals over at Ben & Jerry’s delivered some delicious Greek Style frozen Yoghurt this week. Since it’s technically not ice-cream, we convinced ourselves it’s perfectly acceptable to pig out entirely. There is none left. YUM.
Annie Hall
Liz has been going through Netflix looking for films to keep herself entertained, and this week she discovered Annie Hall. She says; “I know Woody Allen isn’t everybody’s taste but I’m a little bit obsessed with this movie and hadn’t watched it in years. I’m probably one of the few people who find it charming rather than obnoxious, but I’m ok with that. If you’ve got an hour or two to kill, this wouldn’t be the worst way to spend it curled up on the couch.”
Bunny Love
You may have noticed by now that Rebecca has a bit of a sweet tooth and that she loves anything chocolatey that comes into the office. This week her eyes lit up when a batch of Lindt gold bunnies arrived, even more so because all the red velvet cupcakes she made at the weekend were gone.
An absolute feast!
This week Úna headed along to the Food Cloud Feast in Smock Alley, organised by Iseult Ward and Aoibheann O’Brien. The entire three course meal was made from “food waste” perfectly good food that would have been otherwise thrown out by companies because of expiry or odd shape. Their goal is to reduce poverty, reduce waste and to help restore that good old Irish community spirit based on shared food: http://foodcloud.ie/
The Monster Returns…
This week, Sue went along to see some footage from the new Godzilla film and has basically been raving about it ever since. The film is out in May and honestly, you are going to want to see this. Here’s the trailer.
Us After Me Before You
Team Her.ie are big fans of author Jojo Moyes, particularly her heartbreaking novel Me Before You. For this month’s Her.ie Book Club we’re all getting between the covers of her newest release, The One Plus One. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this one, so please do pick up a copy this months and let us know your thoughts – we’ll be podcasting again at the end of April!
