Two of Hollywood’s funniest men have reunited on the red carpet at the premiere of their new comedy, ‘The Campaign’.

Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis star in one of the funniest films to hit the big screen this year.

‘The Campaign’ follows the story of Ferrell and Galifianakis, a pair of deadly enemies and rival politicians running for congress in a fictional district of North Carolina.

Will stars as Democrat Cam Brady as Tea-Party style Republican Marty Higgins (Zach) campaigns against the four-term uncontested politician.

The pair were joined at the premiere bu co-stars Dylan McDermott and Brian Cox.

In the film, long-term congressman Brady commits a major public gaffe before an upcoming election, prompting a pair of wealthy businessmen to put up a rival candidate and gain influence. Local tourism centre director Higgins soon becomes a threat with his strong financial backing and his family’s political connections, and the duo begin to compete for the seat with hilarious consequences.

The film will certainly create a stir Stateside as the 2012 US Presidential Campaign is well underway.

Will won’t be leaving the big screen anytime soon as Variety revealed that he has signed up to be reunited with his Wedding Crashers co-stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn in ‘The Internship’, a comedy about two unemployed salesmen who decide to reinvent themselves by becoming interns at a major technology company.

‘The Campaign’ is due for release in Ireland on September 28th.
