Many folk travelled home from the land down under for the Christmas period and as the majority pack up their bags to make the trek back again, they take with them some special memories of home. One lad from Rathfarnham will bring back something a little more special.
Andrew Buckeridge, who travelled home from Sydney, was at the races in Leopardstown on St. Stephen’s Day when he bumped into the president Michael D. Higgins.
Starstruck, Andrew decided to seize the moment and took out his phone to capture the momentous occasion.
The result is one perfect presidential selfie.
