Dating apps are hard.
Sometimes you’re on it everyday, chatting to lads or ladies and you might even get an OK-ish date from them. Hell, you might even start a relationship with one of them.
However, then there are other times when you’re just not bothered, and after getting a ridiculous message or another unsolicited dick pic, you just want to delete them all and never go into the world of online dating ever again.
According to a new survey though, there is a specific number of people that you can chat to at once without getting overwhelmed.
A new study conducted by Oxford Internet Institute found that the majority of us send messages to, at most, 12 new people per week – but we can only concentrate on seven replies at once.
It also surprisingly found that if you think you are attractive, you won’t talk to as many people online either.
Lead researcher Taha Yasseri said: “Though it may be expected that people who online date would possess a ‘more is more’ approach in their search for a partner, the opposite is true.
