Absolute nah.
YOU is a creepy show.
It’s got stalking, it’s got creeping, it’s got Penn Badgley keeping teeth in a little box because that’s an entirely normal thing to do.
But the nice thing about YOU is that it’s so beyond the realm of possibility that nothing that weird could ever happened in real life, right?
Nobody’s that strange, surely.
Except they are.
Well, hopefully they’re not so strange as to literally go around murdering people but they’re definitely strange enough to go track down a woman’s phone number who they saw on the train to start messaging them.
The above has, unfortunately, happened to one woman.
She was on a train a few days back when she got chatting to some guy. The chat was brief and then she left the train, all but forgetting about the experience.
A few days later, the guy sent her a message saying he had gotten her number from one of friends.
So I briefly spoke to someone on the train last week, we didn’t even exchange socials or anything and today he messaged me😭
Am I overreacting by being creeped out because what on earth 🙆🏾♀️ pic.twitter.com/SCVdZjHsg1— Indlovukazi (@Lyndahx) January 13, 2019
She asked which friend had given him her number, or where he managed to track down her friends, and he said “from Instagram” and little else.
She then called him out for being a creep, to which he responded by telling her that he was taking her out on Thursday.
Not asking. But telling.
Right so.
The conversation went on like this for awhile, the guy refusing to understanding why his behaviour was intensely stalker-like, and the woman becoming more and more sick of trying to explain why she didn’t want to date him.
The chat ended with her telling him to please delete her number… and him doing the huff emoji.
Men, eh?
