If you're not already following J.K. Rowling on Twitter, you should be. The Harry Potter author makes excellent use of the social networking site to engage with fans and drop teasers about her upcoming releases. One such tweet today has Potterheads up in arms, as it suggests that her most famous character could be making a comeback.
Responding to a fan who said she stopped whatever she was doing when Rowling tweeted, allowing time to analyse the messages, Rowling said: "See, now I'm tempted to post a riddle or an anagram. Must resist temptation... must work..."
She held out for hours, but eventually posted what might be her best riddle yet.
Cry, foe! Run amok! Fa awry! My wand won’t tolerate this nonsense.
— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) October 6, 2014
Clever Redditors set to work on the riddle and discovered that it works as an anagram for "Harry returns! Won't say any details now. A week off. No comment."
Rowling's next book will be Fantastical Beasts and Where to Find Them.
