Mark Zuckerberg made a pretty big announcement this week and it has sent tech lovers the world over into meltdown.
The Facebook founder took to Facebook (obviously) to reveal that they will launch a satellite that will provide internet access to remote parts of Africa.
He stated that they have teamed up with Eutelsat for the project that they hope to launch in 2016 as part of their Internet.org initiative.

“I’m excited to announce our first project to deliver internet from space,” he wrote.
“As part of our Internet.org efforts to connect the world, we’re partnering with Eutelsat to launch a satellite into orbit that will connect millions of people.”
The initiative will reportedly look to use technology to provide affordable internet access, particularly for people in the developing world.
