Delicious Summer Cocktails to Devour with Your Friends

We love cocktails at Her.ie and here are some of our favourites that won't break the bank this summer.

Her

Cocktails make every party brighter and we love them at Her.ie. Tall cocktail glasses pose as great photo props and a few Long Island Ice Teas always make us giddy. They are a great way to liven up a summer barbeque and the perfect concoctions to plow your friends with before a night on the town. Here are our favourite cocktails to make at home this summer without totally breaking the bank and hopefully they will inject some sparkle into your weekends.

Sangria

This cocktail brings us right back to our last holiday in Spain and is a tasty concoction to bring some sun into any summer party. You will need two bottles of red wine, 180mls of orange juice, 180mls of 7UP, 100g of castor sugar, three limes, three lemons, two large apples and two oranges. Chop up your fruit and combine all of the ingredients into a large bowl or jug. Leave in your fridge for a few hours before serving.

Whiskey Sours

We love this cocktail especially the sharp tang of lemon juice. For a whiskey sour you will need one shot of whiskey, lemon juice and sugar syrup. Serve over ice for a cold refreshing hit.

Frog in a Blender

In a blender pulse together 150mls of vodka, 230mls of cranberry juice, the juice of one lime and six large ice cubes. Blitz the lot and serve. We love this twist on the classic vodka cranberry.

Apple Blossom

If you are a big fan of apples this sweet cocktail is for you. For one measure combine one shot of Apple Sourz (€19.31/70cl), one shot of white rum and 100mls of pineapple juice and shake well. Adorn with a chunk of fresh pineapple for garnish.

Raspberry Dazzle

This concoction is a mixture of De Kuyper Raspberry Liquor (€15.64/70cl), vodka, club soda and lemon juice. We love how tangy and refreshing this cocktail is and it is one of our favourites this summer. For extra wow, add grenadine.
