I could only feel the lump whilst lying down and it completely disappeared standing up. Most websites tell you to check for lumps in the shower but if I had followed this advice, the lump may have grown too large to be treatable.”Hayley has a long road ahead but the fact that she found it so early gives her a very good chance of beating the disease fast.
Responding to Hayley's Facebook post, many other young women came forward saying they too only discovered their lump while lying in bed.
It is because of the position of the breast tissue while lying horizontal. Hayley hopes her trick for detecting the lump can now help others - over 65 thousand people have shared her post.
