From stalking celebrities, to watching the droves of images flash by on your Instagram account, #fitspo is soon becoming the hashtag that can send you feeling for lumps and bumps under your clothes.

While we all know the importance of feeling good and minding your body with exercise and nutritious food, one fitness blogger and personal trainer wants to make sure us women know when we’re being mislead.

Sophie Kay decided to dispel some of these ‘before and after’ myths, hitting back at the unrealistic images facing women online.

In a selfie post uploaded to her account, Sophie showed the difference of the same body photographed just three minutes apart:

So the secret to Sophie’s sculpted look?

The personal trainer simply switched off her overhead light, tilted her body away from the camera and changed her underwear before adding a filter.

Sounds like a lot of hard work – but it can be the difference of faking a loss of 10 pounds online.

So the lesson we’ve learned from this?

Maybe don’t trust all those weight loss success stories, and value the beautiful body you’re already rocking.
