This Harry Potter fan’s theory proves Santa is actually a wizard

This is the best thing we've ever heard.

It makes so much sense.

Now that Christmas is only around the corner, the focus is all on the main man himself, Santa.

We all love to read about Santa and learn more about the international man of mystery but this Harry Potter fans theory has absolutely blown our minds.

Reddit user TheSortingSombrero (what a brilliant name!) started a post on the site with all the proof we needed to show that Santa is actually a wizard.

He uses floo powder for transportation.

Santa spends the whole night eating hundreds of cakes and cookies and other treats children leave out for him, and yet he still fits through the chimney. How does he do it? Floo powder of course!

He manages to deliver all presents in one night using a time turner.

How else would he get all around the world to everyone’s house without running out of time?

He employs hundreds of house elves.

We’ve often heard about elves who spend all year making presents. How did we not realise this one before?

He users the philosophers stone to stay young.

With the extensive use of time turners, he must be pretty old. Which is why he must have a philosophers stone. (St. Nicholas Flamel?)

He obliviates people so no one thinks they have ever seen him.

Visits millions of houses and nobody sees him? He probably obliviates people who saw him, or uses muggle repelling charms.

There are plenty of other amazing observations proving that Santa is actually a wizard but the Reddit user also pointed out why he’s so hard to find.

”His home on the North Pole has been made unplottable and has all kinds of magical protections that prevent people from finding it, just like Hogwarts. Why? Maybe he broke Clause 73 of the International Statue of Wizarding Secrecy by performing magic so openly for millions of muggles. So he has to hide on the North Pole, which is technically in international waters.”
