And now, the song has been covered by someone else.
And that someone… is a dog.
Over the weekend, Matt Hardin was video recording his dog, Riley, howl at a storm.
Pretty quickly he realised that the noise his dog was making sounded oddly familiar.
After watching the video back a few times, he spitted that Riley was basically howling the instrumental bit from the iconic tune.
“At first I thought he was just howling at the storm that was rolling through, but when I rewatched the video, I noticed that the sound he was making was oddly familiar,” Hardin told Teen Vogue.
“After watching it like 30 times, I actually said out loud, ‘Oh my God, Riley, were you just singing ‘Toxic?!’ and then I proceeded to freak out. He looked at me sideways at first, then jumped in my lap.”
Matt tweeted the video, with the caption: “Is it just me or does Riley sound like he’s singing toxic by Britney Spears?”

Sorry, but that dog gets more online attention than Britney herself.
