Prince’s sister revealed the eerie thing that happened after he died

Very sad.

Laura Holland

Prince is gone but not forgotten.

Six months on from his death, Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, joined Al Roker on The Today Show to speak about the late singer and the new museum which will open in the coming days.

The family have turned his recording studio and compound, Paisley Park, into a fan museum and Tyka said Prince had already planned that.

She also revealed something very eerie that happened just after the singer died. Prince had two doves, Majesty and Divinity, who he loved. He believed they had beautiful singing voices and even credited them with ‘ambient singing’ on his album One Nite Alone.

Tyka explained that when Prince died the birds stopped singing. There was complete silence in the building when he never came home.

She said, “If they’re quiet, it doesn’t feel the same. After he passed, they weren’t talking. When I first came in, I’m like, ‘Where’s the doves? What’s going on?’”

Someone told Tyka that the birds were around the building but just weren’t singing, almost as if they knew what had happened.

Although they are back singing now Al pointed out that they seem sad, saying, “It’s literally doves crying right now.”
