Spoiler alert.

Show bosses have announced that a new family will move into Emmerdale’s Home Farm later this month.

Laurence White, who recently joined the show, will purchase the farm when it is put up for auction. Joining him on Home Farm will be his daughter Chrissie, played by Louise Marwood.

Viewers will learn that Chrissy is engaged to Robert Sugden, who is set to return to the Dales after leaving the show in 2005.

Robert Sugden was previously played by Karl Davies but Ryan Hawley is set to take on the role, saying he is “over the moon” to be joining the Emmerdale cast.

Chrissie’s 14-year-old son Lachlan will be played by Thomas Atkinson and the family have a pet dog who goes by the name of Dog.

Emmerdale‘s series producer Kate Oates commented: “Home Farm has always been the seat of power in Emmerdale. In Lawrence, we have a family man with serious status and a complex history.

Robert’s going to have to prove himself worthy – not just of the big house on the hill, but of Lawrence’s daughter Chrissie. But will the ghosts of his past hold him back?”

Things are definitely set to get interesting on Home Farm…
