Love Island’s Alex might actually be a bit of a ‘cocky’ player in real life

Jade Hayden

Don’t believe it for a second.

Say anything bad about Dr Alex and you may as well just leave the room now because you are not welcome here.

Alex is a darling.

He is smart, he is good looking, he is a DOCTOR, he is loyal, and he wears a lot of pink shirts.

Doesn’t get better than that really.

One of the key reasons why the entire nation and elsewhere has fallen deeply in love with Dr Alex is due to the simple fact that he is just not like the other boys in the villa.

He isn’t cocky, he doesn’t brag, his body isn’t the only thing he’s got going for him, etc.

Instead, he just seems like a genuinely ‘nice guy’ who’s having a bit of a rough time of it lately because he’s a bit awkward and stuff.

Bless.

At least, that’s what we thought before we heard that Alex exhibited some player-esque behaviour outside of the show. Needless to say we were – of course – shook.

According to the Daily Star, Alex is actually a bit of a cocky bragger… one who likes to show off about his money, none the less.

A 23-year-old woman told the publication that she met the doctor through dating app, Bumble.

She said:

“He seemed super sweet because he was really into his job and he was working at Lewisham hospital in A+E, he was the person that was looking after pregnant women if they came into A+E, so I was really into that.”

Sounds stunning girl, what’s so wrong with that?

The woman went on:

“He was always sending me pictures of things that he thought would impress me, like his car and nights out with his friends.

“I just wasn’t into it. When I stopped talking to him he didn’t try again, he was a typical player, I imagine he was talking to other girls at the time. I just didn’t like his vibe.”

Interesting.

And yet, there are absolutely worse things in the world than sending a few pictures of yourself on a night out.

After all, who among us hasn’t fired off a snap, bleary eyed with drink in hand to try and thirst trap someone into showing up to wherever you are?

It’s just the done thing these days.

At least he was actually trying in that scenario.
