It was recently announced that Pretty Little Liars would be getting a spin-off series – and that some of the main cast would be featuring in the series.
But now it sounds like there could be one more Liar ready to come back to the series.
Freeform handed out a pilot order in September for Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists – based on the Sara Shepard book of the same name.
The series will star Sasha Pieterse and Janel Parrish, who will be reprising their roles as Alison DiLaurentis and Mona Vanderwaal.
And after fans saw Alison and Emily Fields get their happily ever after in the series finale, many people were left wondering if Emily could be appearing on the show.
Shay Mitchell recently weighed in on the idea – and it sounds kind of promising.
She told Entertainment Weekly:
“Never say never.
“I’m so excited to see Sasha on that.
“It’s something that they were talking about before we even finished [PLL], and all of us were so supportive.”
And while she’s not totally sure if she’ll be able to make a proper appearance on the show, given that she’s shooting a new series called The Heiresses, she did say that Pretty Little Liars fans will be happy with the spin-off series.
She added:
“Obviously we have a huge fanbase of PLL and nobody wanted to see it end. I think this is going to be a great substitute for that.
“A lot of the fans will enjoy seeing what takes place later on, so I’m really excited to watch it.”
