There was sad news on Monday evening of this week as it was announced that legendary Coronation Street actress Anne Kirkbride had passed away following a short illness.
The actress, who played Deirdre Barlow on the long-running soap, joined the cobbles back in the 1970s.
Tributes have been flooding in for the talented actress and popular soap star.

She had been given extended leave since last October.
