It’s hump day and while your mind might be looking towards the weekend, plenty of people have had their brains absolutely melted over the latest viral riddle to take the internet by storm.
Horses, horseshoes, riding boots and a little bit of algebra shouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to solve, right?

How did this happen you ask? To begin with, did you pay attention to the fact that the final equation has a singular boot, horse and horseshoe?
Ok, you did. Cool.
How familiar are you though with a mathematical term that’s called the order of operations? How about the abbreviation “PEMDAS”, which is turned into the phrase “Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally”. It stands for “Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, and Addition and Subtraction”.
Essentially, this rule means that multiplication will always take precedence over addition in any equation. Yep, we forgot about that one also..
