Zara McDermott says she is ‘furious’ that Sam Thompson hasn’t been chosen for a bushtucker trial on ‘I’m A Celeb’

More votes for Sam, please!

Her boyfriend, Sam Thompson, is currently a campmate on the reality TV series.

The public chose Jamie Lynn Spears over Sam to compete in 'Climb of Cruelty', despite the fact he has been vocal about his fear of heights.

This has left Zara, who is just off a stint on 'Strictly Come Dancing', 'furious', and questioning why the public would put Jamie Lynn through a trial given her recent mental well-being on the show.

Speaking on camera after last night's episode, the Strictly star said:

"Anyway, back to 'I'm A Celeb' stuff. Like I am furious, to be honest, that Sam's not doing this trial. When they said Sam 'it might be you,' I was thinking 'Yes, Yes'.

"British public let's just have a word, Jamie Lynn Spears. Bless her soul, crying the whole episode, so what do we do, we vote her for a trial. What are we like?"

The former 'Love Island' contestant added that fans are missing a trick by not voting for Sam to compete in trials as it will provide top-class entertainment.

"Look, I know it's probably going to be good entertainment but please, please. Sam Thompson will be better entertainment I swear."

Sam and Zara have been together since 2019.

Before heading down under, the 'Staying Relevant' podcast co-host opened up about being away from his girlfriend while in the jungle.

“Obviously it is a strain for anyone’s heartstrings. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t going to miss my girlfriend so much,” he told The Sun.

“I already do miss her. But having said that, what an amazing experience. The thing is, there was a potential for them overlapping. But as I said, what a wonderful problem to have.

"I can’t speak to Zara, but I know she thinks the same thing. I can’t believe that we even had two rival shows,” Sam said, referring to Zara’s time on ‘Strictly Come Dancing'."
