The ten new campmates earned a full house of stars in three separate trials, meaning the camp dined on the best possible meal they could earn on their first night.
However, as excitement builds for the 2023 reality show series, ITV bosses are worried Jamie Lynn Spears will quit the show as it is being reported that she is ‘isolating’ herself from the rest of the camp.
Britney's younger sister started her 'I'm A Celeb' journey with JLS star Marvin Humes and Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard last night.
The 'Zoey' 101 actress and Humes had to find jungle-related terms on their puzzles while covered in green ants and shouting the answers to Nick, who was tied down to a rotating table, catching the stars with his mouth while smothered in creepy crawlies.
While their first challenge was a success, earning all six stars for camp, it seems Jamie Lynn may not be enjoying the experience and bosses feel she is 'miserable' in the Australian jungle.
The Sun reports that the singer spent Saturday in bed and isolated herself from the rest of the contestants.
Producers are also believed to be worried that Jamie Lynn may be a 'flight risk'.
"Away from the cameras and scenes that aired on TV, it’s her behaviour in camp that has become obvious to crew," a source told the outlet.
"She has kept herself somewhat separate, not really socialising — and stayed in bed."
The source adds that this reaction may be down to Jamie Lynn not having any connections in the camp and that she is reportedly homesick and missing her fmaily.
For the actress to receive her full pay cheque, she will need to stay in the jungle for 72 hours.
This comes after Jamie Lynn refused to speak to Australian journalists for media chats ahead of her jungle debut, something all of the show's contestants do.
While it is not compulsory, it is rare for a celebrity to turn them down.
"It is disappointing Jamie Lynn wouldn't speak to journalists out in Australia. She kept her head down at Brisbane airport which is fair enough after a long flight, but it is highly unusual to not take part in the media chats whilst waiting to go into camp this week," a TV source told the Mirror.
Tonight, the first bush tucker trial of the series gets underway.
GB News host and ex-politician Nigel Farage and YouTuber Nella Rose have been chosen by the public to take part in 'The Jungle Pizzeria, a dreaded eating challenge'.
