Angelina Jolie is at the centre of the Sony hacking once more this week as yet more emails have been released in the latest online leak.
The star, who had previously been branded as a “minimally talented spoiled brat” in emails released from Sony, has now become the focus of newly released material this week.
The latest exchange shows emails which were passed between Scott Rudin, Amy Pascal and Angelina Jolie. On occasion, the actress is left out of the email so that the pair can make comments behind her back.
The exchange is in relation to a proposed remake of Cleopatra which Jolie was to be involved in. It begins with discussions over who could direct the film and whether Jolie should shave her head for the role in order to keep in character.
“The one thought I would ask you both is about her ‘bald’. I think that made sense in earlier drafts but if we are saying every time she’s in bed she has no hair or a shaved head it changes the sensuality,” Jolie wrote. “I wonder if we should keep it out and discuss as an idea with the director. But I worry we could scare off a director.”
Talk moved back to the director, and Jolie explained that she is still going over some other films to consider.
Rudin then took Angelina off the message group and emailed Pascal personally stating, “Kill me now. Immediately.”
Again, conversation trundles on about possible male leads for the role, before Jolie states that she believes the script is almost where it needs to be.
“She’s seriously out of her mind,” Rudin slammed the star in an email to Pascal. Pascal then suggested a meeting between them and the star to which Rudin replied, “Nooooooo noooooo noooooo, please! Not a meeting!”
