Lindsay Lohan has been having a particularly difficult time of late. Her judge ordered she spend 90 days in rehab and the actress has been told she has to stay put for the entire period.

However, Lohan has laid the blame for her rehab visits on quite an unusual occurrence, her time spent working on the film I Know Who Killed Me.

Lindsay told Piers Morgan in a rare interview that her first voluntary rehab visit came in 2007 following her work on the film. The actress told the talk show host that the thriller, which depicted twins who are tortured by serial killers, left the star with nightmares, according to Entertainmentwise.

Lohan commented: “Once. I went when I was doing a movie called ‘I Know Who Killed Me,’ and I hadn’t been drinking for a year at that point, but I was having really bad nightmares and the movie was pretty traumatizing.”

“So I stayed in a facility so I could get some sleep and talk about it with someone the next day, because it was overwhelming. But I would leave every day and just sleep there at night.

The star confirmed that the visits really helped her and assisted her in getting some sleep.

Why then is she insistent she does not need rehab now?
