Jennifer Garner on if there’s going to be a sequel to 13 Going on 30

Keeley Ryan

We will always have a spot in our hearts for 13 Going On 30.

The Jennifer Garner-starring romantic comedy was one of our favourite films growing up – and if we’re being totally honest, it still is.

With its 15th anniversary this year, Jennifer was recently asked if we could ever be seeing  her reprise her role as Jenna Rink.

Speaking on Good Morning America, she joked:

“What, like 15 going on 50? Let’s simmer down and then let’s leave well enough alone.”

Guess that settles that, so.

While it doesn’t appear as if the actress would be up for a sequel, she did reveal her favourite moment from the set.

She continued:

“It was the cast, Judy Greer, working with Judy [Greer].

“We had so much fun together. She was my frenemy [in the movie] and we’re still really good friends.”

In the movie, Greer played Lucy ‘Tom Tom’ Wyman, Jenna’s frenemy and the stereotypical ‘mean girl’.

Mark Ruffalo – who played Jenna’s best-friend-turned-later-boyfriend Matt Flamhaff, recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about what it was like on set.

He said:

“We had the sweetest time. [Jennifer] was a big star then but I was kind of just starting out. She was just so lovely.

“We were making this really sweet movie that had a great message for young girls.

“We were all sort of coming into our own in that moment. We really loved that story, and Jen was just transformed into a 13-year-old girl. It was really amazing.”

13 Going on 30 turns 15 on April 23 But in the meantime, we’re off to watch it again on Netflix.
